Leonid Group is privileged to have been retained on a new search, on behalf of a major electronics and appliances giant, based on Houston. They’re seeking to hire an SVP of Human Rights and Supply Chain Oversight, the first position of it’s kind in the global business – to head up global Human Rights program globally.
 
This represents an opportunity to break new ground in Human Rights and embed best practices across all facets of their global supply chain.
 
 
The Role
 
Human Rights

  • Initiate, consult, strategize and implement a global Human Rights program across the business and it’s multi-national supply chain
  • Grow the Human Rights functions as needed to fulfil its regulatory and ethical remit
  • Develop the objectives, KPI’s, and metrics to measure social value, prepare and execute the plan to achieve them, and monitor and report the results to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organize cross-functional project teams who will establish and drive the activities that will have a material and measurable impact on our targeted revenue gains, profitability, and social value.

Sustainability & CSR

  • Assure company-wide awareness and compliance with the company’s global CSR policies and CSR charter.
  • Develop the Mid- and long-term strategies which will enable the business to identify opportunities for improvement and implement measures to drive environmental, social, and economic sustainability.
  • Develop the strategy which will enable the business to meet its annual objectives and those of the Mid-Term Plan.

The Candidate

  • Passion for sustainability, and social responsibility.
  • Familiarity with sustainability frameworks such as GRI, TCFD, IIRC.
  • Knowledge of market drivers and trends in sustainability space such as environment, human rights, diversity, and wellness.
  • Minimum three years of related experience with a B2B company in electronics, industrial, or technology areas.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience working in a global company, including with co-workers in Japan.
  • Proficiency with internal and external communications to reach various audiences.
  • Knowledge of industry and company specific product types & target markets.
