Internal Audit Manager

Leonid Group is privileged to be retained on an Internal Audit Manager search, on behalf of our largest clients, a global shipping and logistics firm, based in Dubai.

You’ll be joining a truly global function, with access to every facet of the business, internationally. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a high-performing Internal Audit function within a market-leading multinational organisation. The team plays a key role in supporting the Executive Board through risk-based audits, investigations, and advisory projects across a diverse international business.

With audit teams based across multiple global locations, the function offers excellent exposure to senior stakeholders, a structured onboarding programme, and strong opportunities for long-term career development. The organisation places significant emphasis on audit quality, continuous learning, and the use of technology and data to enhance audit delivery.

The Opportunity

As an Internal Audit Manager, you will:

• Lead and execute complex risk-based internal audit assignments across a broad range of business functions.
• Identify key risks, control weaknesses, and opportunities for operational improvement.
• Manage audit engagements from planning through to reporting and follow-up.
• Present audit findings and practical recommendations to senior leadership.
• Produce clear, concise, and high-quality audit reports.
• Monitor the implementation of agreed actions with business stakeholders.
• Evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of the internal control environment.
• Support advisory engagements and contribute to annual audit planning.
• Conduct confidential investigations into allegations of irregularities where required.

The Candidate

• At least five years’ experience within Internal Audit, shipping, logistics, heavy industry or a related.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to understand complex business processes.
• Data analytics knowledge is preferable.
• Experience leading audit engagements and managing multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to senior management.
• A collaborative, proactive, and commercially minded approach.
• Fluency in English; additional language skills such as Arabic, French, or Portuguese would be advantageous.
• Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 30%).
