We’re supporting a global industrial technology and manufacturing business, specialising in electric motors, automation and engineered solutions across residential, commercial and industrial markets.
They’re looking for an Associate Trade Compliance Counsel to join their Americas Trade Compliance team and play a hands-on role across legal advice, programme development and operational trade compliance.
What you’ll be doing
- Advising the business on ITAR, EAR, OFAC, customs and export controls
- Supporting classification, licensing, sanctions and regulatory matters
- Identifying and managing trade compliance risks
- Strengthening policies, controls and processes
- Working directly with Engineering, Sales, Supply Chain and Operations
- Leading and developing members of the trade compliance team
- Turning complex regulations into practical business solutions
What we’re looking for
- J.D. + active U.S. bar membership
- 3–5+ years of U.S. trade compliance experience
- Strong ITAR/EAR and OFAC knowledge
- Experience across export controls, licensing and classification
- A commercial, practical approach to solving complex problems
- U.S. person status under ITAR requirements
- Comfortable with approximately 25–30% travel
