Leonid Group is privileged to be retained by a leading pharmaceutical company to hire a Senior Risk Manager based in Zurich.

Role Overview

Reporting to the VP Risk, the Senior Risk Manager will lead Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) activities across the EMEA region, with a strong focus on risk identification, assessment, reporting, and mitigation within a global pharmaceutical giant. The role partners closely with senior leadership to embed risk awareness into strategic and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the EMEA Enterprise Risk Management framework, including risk identification, assessment, prioritization, and reporting.

Prepare and deliver high-quality risk reports, dashboards, and insights for senior management and executive committees.

Coordinate regional risk assessments and facilitate risk workshops with business leaders and functional heads.

Monitor emerging risks (operational, regulatory, financial, ESG, and strategic) relevant to the pharma sector.

Ensure alignment between regional risk activities and global ERM standards and methodologies.

Support internal controls, mitigation planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Requirements

8–12+ years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management, preferably within pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or highly regulated industries.

Strong expertise in ERM frameworks, risk reporting, and executive-level communication.

Experience working in complex, matrixed, international organizations.

Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.

Fluency in English; German or French is a plus.
