Principal Functions
The Ethics & Compliance Vice President will be a member of the leadership team within the Ethics & Compliance organization and will assist with the implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of the Ethics & Compliance Program. Primary duties include developing and executing the Ethics and Compliance Training and Communication Plan; assessing, revising, and overseeing the implementation of compliance-related policies and procedures; providing guidance to business stakeholders as a compliance subject matter expert; measuring and preparing internal reports on the maturity and success of the Program; and undertaking and supporting other critical Ethics and Compliance-related initiatives. This position reports to the Chief Compliance Officer.
Primary Duties
- Strategy and Execution (25%): Develop and execute a strategic Compliance Training & Communications Plan to address key areas of risk and promote and embed a culture of compliance within the organization.
- Policies and Procedures (25%): Assess, revise, and implement compliance-related policies and procedures.
- Oversight and Continuous Improvement of Program (20%): Support the day-to-day management of the Ethics & Compliance Program and execution against the Compliance Strategic Plan, as well as implementation of recommendations from the company’s independent Compliance Monitor.
- Partnership with Stakeholders (15%): Support internal and external reporting and engagement with stakeholders and regulators, including the company’s independent Compliance Monitor.
- Expertise (15%): Serve as a subject matter expert on Compliance and promote the program and its goals to the workforce, including advising on day-to-day implementation of core Compliance policies and procedures.
- BA/BS degree required
- Juris Doctor preferred but not required
- Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) preferred but not required
- Minimum of 10 years of work experience related to Ethics & Compliance
- Minimum of 2 years in an in-house Ethics & Compliance role
- Experience developing, implementing, and/or enhancing corporate compliance programs
- Experience with the design and execution of compliance-related training and communications
- Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including bribery and corruption, fraud, and government contracting
- Proven record of building, managing, and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including senior management
- Strong oral and written communication, presentation, and training skills, with advanced computer literacy (primarily MS Office)
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and pro-active team player, with exceptional project management skills and the ability to turn early-stage ideas or concepts into final deliverables
- Demonstrated ethics and integrity, with a clear understanding and adherence to ethical principles, company values, Code of Ethics, and policies. Must exemplify integrity, courage, candor, and active listening across corporate functions
- Typical office work conditions
- Travel expected to be a minimum of 20%
