Operational Assurance Manager
Location: Louisiana Facility | Full-Time Position

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Operational Assurance Manager to oversee the development, implementation, and continuous evaluation of an Assurance Management System. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our construction operations adhere to all project specifications, codes, standards, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead operational assurance initiatives for a major LNG production facility, ensuring excellence in safety, compliance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Development & Execution: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive start-up strategies for LNG production facilities, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Manage high-performance teams to plan and execute start-up and operational activities across all process systems, fostering a culture of safety and operational excellence.
  • System Oversight: Establish and oversee Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS) and Permit to Work (PTW) systems, ensuring seamless coordination of operations while prioritizing safety and efficiency.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide expert guidance on pre-treatment, liquefaction processes, cryogenic systems, and associated equipment, continually enhancing facility performance and operational reliability.
  • Performance Management: Collaborate with senior leadership to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for start-up and operational phases, ensuring that goals and milestones are consistently met.
  • Commissioning & Start-Up Oversight: Lead pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and safety standards.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present timely, accurate reports on daily, weekly, and monthly operational activities, providing transparency and insight into progress.
  • Troubleshooting: Lead efforts to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges during the start-up phase, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Oversight: Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, industry codes, and established best practices, maintaining a high standard of operational integrity.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with construction, engineering, commissioning, start-up, and operations teams to facilitate a smooth handover of facilities and ensure operational readiness.
  • Team Development: Mentor and guide staff involved in start-up and commissioning processes, ensuring their professional development and performance.

Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of progressive field operations experience, with at least 2 years in senior leadership roles overseeing large-scale industrial facility start-ups, particularly in the LNG sector.
  • LNG Expertise: Proven experience managing the start-up and operations of multiple LNG production facilities, with a focus on the U.S. Gulf Coast region.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, SIMOPS, PTW, liquefaction processes, and associated technical systems.
  • Quality Assurance: Experience in quality assurance and control within industrial operations, ensuring that processes meet stringent regulatory and operational standards.
  • Shift Supervisor Experience: Prior experience as a Shift Supervisor in a plant environment, demonstrating a strong leadership presence and operational oversight.
  • Regulatory Compliance: A comprehensive understanding of industry codes, standards, and best practices, with a strong focus on compliance.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Microsoft Project, with the ability to manage and report on complex schedules and project timelines.
  • Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage diverse teams and complex operational challenges.
