R&D Tax Manager - Top 50 practice



We are working with a highly exciting, top 50 accountancy practice who are recruiting for an R&D Tax Manager for their thriving office in Lichfield. You will oversee the delivery of an exciting client portfolio, as well as manage the existing R&D tax team.



Salary: £35k-£55K
 
You will be responsible for the delivery of innovation funding products (R&D Tax Relief, Patent Box etc) including both technical and financial aspects. Working closely with an expert commercial team, you will be responsible for managing an extensive and varied client portfolio, onboarding new clients and guiding them through the process. The role also includes providing feedback to the commercial team to inform new lines of enquiry and to provide expert tax advice as appropriate to clients.

  • Develop financial knowledge and expertise to be capable of providing R&D tax specific advice to clients
  • Deliver technical reports and financial analyses with exceptional level of accuracy
  • Provide and develop exceptional client management skills
  • Work with internal commercial team to both acquire new clients and develop new industry areas to focus on
  • Work autonomously and independently
  • Share knowledge of previous technical areas and develop further technical curiosity
  • Mentor junior teammates and assist with training where appropriate

Requirements

  • Previous R&D Tax Relief experience
  • Prior industrial experience in engineering or science related sectors
  • Excellent written skills
  • Proven problem solving abilities
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent MS Office skills (Word and Excel)
  • Ability to work autonomously with high productivity and accuracy
  • Excellent teamwork skills with desire to coach junior teammates
