Location: Erlangen, Bayern, Germany. 60% hybrid (two days work onsite).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular reviews and monitoring activities in a global organization to identify potential risk areas and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with export control and customs regulations.
- Analyze and monitor risks associated with export control compliance in line with defined monitoring requirements.
- Enforce the Internal Control Program (ICP) and monitor business activities to ensure adherence to ICP and local laws.
- Perform internal audits according to export control requirements and analyze results, creating necessary actions in the monitoring tool.
- Oversee the implementation of remediation actions to address identified deficiencies.
- Develop methods and standards for reviews to support the global compliance organization.
- Implement standardized export and customs processes tailored to specific business needs.
- Manage the development and implementation of internal review and monitoring tools and provide ongoing support.
- University degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Extensive professional experience in export control, customs management, and compliance.
- Additional auditing experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and SAP. Experience in the field without a degree is also welcome.
- Proficient in English and the local language; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Strong organizational, project management, and communication abilities.
- Leadership and collaboration skills across organizational levels.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, managing multiple demands effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in innovative projects in export control and customs.
