In this role, you will contribute to the company's U.S. tax compliance, planning, controversy, and financial reporting initiatives. Responsibilities include supporting audits, ensuring adherence to SOX-compliant processes, conducting tax research, and collaborating with the Tax Director to assess tax implications related to research and planning projects.

Reporting directly to the Tax Manager, you will be involved in diverse tax matters, consistently challenged in a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare U.S. federal and state income tax returns, encompassing international reporting, quarterly estimates, and extensions.
- Compile quarterly and year-end U.S. tax provisions, investigating data discrepancies and managing the roll-forward of U.S. deferred tax assets and liabilities.
- Identify and calculate U.S. book/tax differences, including Section 162(m) limitations, tax basis depreciation and amortization, Section 174, UNICAP, and R&D credits.
- Collaborate with multiple departments on various tax filings and projects.
- Drive departmental efficiencies through process improvements and enhanced functionality.
- Liaise with external tax consultants on compliance and tax-saving strategies.
- Maintain tax accounts, conducting monthly reconciliations.
- Conduct research and address communications from tax authorities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred; MST candidate also considered.
- 5+ years of experience in corporate tax within a large organization.
