Leonid Group has been retained to find new talent to join the Global Trade Compliance team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, the new team member will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and supporting the company's global operations.

This role is pivotal in supporting trade operations and compliance within the Automotive Business Unit, based in Hungary. As a trusted advisor, you will enhance global trade compliance, reduce risk, and improve responsiveness to international trade issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee trade operations and compliance for the assigned business unit in EMEA, ensuring adherence to import/export regulations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain compliance activities in line with organizational policies.
- Serve as a point of contact for trade-related inquiries.
- Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and participate in various projects.
- Train and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) locally.
- Develop trade-related solutions in response to business changes.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational efficiency.
- Work with governance teams to stay updated on trade compliance regulations and assess their impact on the business unit.
- Participate in trade compliance audits and manage corrective action plans.
- Develop and deliver effective trade compliance training across the organization.
- Ensure proper classification, screening, and compliance for trade operations.
- Foster a culture of engagement and performance aligned with core values.
- Lead by example and demonstrate empathy in leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in international business, supply chain, law, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in global trade compliance, with a preference for experience in industrial or transportation sectors.
- Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, particularly in Hungary and the EMEA region.
- Experience with customs classification and regulations, including the Harmonized Tariff System.
- Familiarity with customs valuation and post-entry audits is preferred.
- Proven ability to engage with government authorities and manage cross-functional projects.
- Advanced skills in Excel and/or PowerBI are a plus.
